Well well well…isn’t this one unexpected? So before Meek Mill’s Incarceration it seems to be that he was putting in work overtime and this collab with Joyner Lucas and none other than Timbaland is just ONE of the bangers. This one definitely is something to ride to so make sure you turn your speakers all the way up!
It’s been a wild week for Hip Hip that’s for sure and we’ve come to find out that Meek Mill was sentenced to 2-4 years in prison today. Now we know Meek Mill was on probation but it seems to be that he violated from a case that was pinned against him during 2008. Meek pleaded guilty in Manhattan to reckless driving charges after he was arrested for popping wheelies and other stunts on a dirt bike which was recorded on camera. What later followed was an arrest in March for fighting at a St. Louis airport though the charges were dropped after Meek agreed to do community service for the Veterans Association in Philadelphia. Meek has been having a vicious comeback from his collision with Drake nd also dropped a great album “Wins & Losses” earlier this year. Our prayers are with Meek Mills family, friends and family and we hope to see Meek back in action real soon. What are your thoughts?
Rick Ross has been having a pretty good year low key if you ask me, from dropping a crazy album this year and also launching his new TV series on VH1 called “Signed”/ Ross and Ben Billions team up on “Tip Toe’n” for another hustler anthem. MMG is keeping it hot this year, nothing but respect for them and I’m excited to see what else Rick Ross has in store for us.
Now.. As many of you know Meek Mill dropped his new album “Dreams Worth More Than Money” last week. It was a highly anticipated album that had its highs and lows as any album would , yet had a unique twist to it and sense of growth. I personally copped the album and it wasn’t to bad. There could have been some more creativity and imagery thrown into it but the man did it justice regardless. Well the verdict is in , and Meek is at the top of Billboard 200’s list of albums in its first week of sales with 246,000 units sold!
DWMTM also becomes the fourth largest opening for an album in 2015, following Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late (495,000), Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly (324,000), and Mumford & Sons’ Wilder Mind (231,000).
